  • Skt. उरगः, uraga, Pron.: uraga. From Sanskrit: fr. | on | and | a serpent, snake | a Nāga (semi-divine serpent usually represented with a human face) | N. of the Nakshatra Āślesha (presided over by the Nāgas) | lead
  • Skt. व्याडः, vyāḍa, Pron.: vyada. From Sanskrit: said to be fr. 3. | malicious, mischievous | with loc. | a beast of prey | a snake | 'a rogue' or 'a jackal' | N. of Indra
